Blueberry Orange Overnight Oats

  • 1/2 cup ground oats

  • 1/2 cup soy milk or milk substitute of choice (just not cows milk)

  • 1 tablespoon hemp seeds

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

  • Blueberry Orange Jam, to taste

Blueberry Orange Jam

  • 1 cup wild blueberries

  • 1/2 cup organic or freshly squeezed orange juice

  • 1/2 tablespoon ground flax seeds

  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

  1. To make the Blueberry Orange Jam, add all ingredients into a small saucepan. Heat mixture on high heat to bring it to a boil. Once boiling, turn heat down to a low simmer and cook for 5 minutes. Turn off heat and let cool completely. Store in a serialized jar or air tight tupperware container for up to 1 week.

  2. To make the Blueberry Orange Overnight Oats, mix together ground oats, milk, hemp seeds, and maple syrup in a small container with an airtight lid attachment. Store the oats in the fridge with lid on overnight or at least 6 hours. Once ready to serve, portion out the appropriate amount* for your baby (start with 2 tablespoons when 6 months for example) mix in about 1 teaspoon of Blueberry Orange Jam or to taste.

Tip: Portion size varies with every baby. Start small and see how the baby reacts. Taste everything you give to your child, if the jam is too much or too little to taste, adjust accordingly. Take it slow and enjoy the process!
